The administration portal allows administrators to create reports, filter, map, and export results. The RideShark system runs itself, so it’s not necessary for an administrator to monitor the system.

Trip Calendar and Rewards
The RideShark trip calendar allows users to log their trips using a ‘trip diary’ multimodal approach. Administrators set the points earned by mode and per day. Users accumulate points that can be used to enter contests, purchase rewards or achieve milestones. RideShark’s incentive management module is comprehensive and allows you to incorporate a complex or simple reward system into your program. The RideShark “Find Commute Options” Search Results
The foundation of the RideShark system lies in its ability to perform intelligent rideshare matches. We use custom algorithms to match based on proximity to origin, destination, travel route and personal preferences. Match results are shown in both tabular and in mapped form, based on two sorting algorithms: distance to you, and best matching your commute preferences. Users also have the ability to filter matches based on driving preference, male/female preference, distance from origin, route, or destination, or organization. All data is purged on a regular basis to ensure that only people actively seeking rideshare partners come up in matches.
Because these matches are constantly relevant to the active users, it will encourage them to continue using your site, and you will consistently be able to reach them with your sustainable transportation messages.

Commuter Challenges allow administrators to establish and run challenging events in their community or organization, which are used to raise awareness, interest, and participation in sustainable travel options. So go ahead and plan your Bike Month, Rideshare Week or other event to build awareness and trial of sustainable travel options. RideShark enables the creation of teams within defined categories so that users can compete or participate with users of similar interests.
Emergency Ride Home
The Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program allows for pre and post emergency ride home claims. RideShark customizes the ERH system for each client, even customizing a PDF voucher for users. The inclusion of an integrated ERH module is a key element in a successful commuter options program that promotes alternatives while increasing the ease of monitoring, enforcement and accountability.
Vanpool Management
The RideShark Vanpool management module allows our clients to effectively manage vanpool participation. Vanpool routes can be plotted on a map along with interactive information on the van, number of available seats, stops, costs, and more. The information is easy to input and modify at any time.
RideShark often works with clients to custom develop links into HR or Payroll systems to automate vanpool ridership and payments. This highly complicated module is customized to each client.
Carpool Parking Management
The RideShark Carpool Parking Management module is an integral success tool for those providing dedicated, preferential carpool parking spaces. The RideShark system tracks carpool partners and has an internal audit algorithm that cross-checks for multiple requests by the same person or group, minimizing the potential of abuse.
The carpool parking management system may be offered at a public and employer level independently.
Carpool Group Management
The RideShark system help users register their carpool groups so that you as the administrator can understand the impact of your carpool promotion initiatives, register users for special status or other reward system.
Incentive and Rewards
RideShark has the most comprehensive and detailed incentive management system available in the mobility management portal for rewarding your users. If you can dream up an incentive program, we can deliver it!
RideShark allows for the offering of contest rewards (random draws), purchase rewards (once a point level has been reached users can ‘purchase’ a specific incentive), and milestone rewards where a reward is provided for achieving a certain milestone or plateau. Clients can offer any or all of these RideShark reward types.
Incentives/rewards can be any combination of system-wide incentives, corporate park incentives, or employer incentives awarded based on a broad range of criteria including Calendar-based trip logging, User Action or both.
RideShark can accommodate three types of prizes and rewards:
Contests Rewards – Users enter virtual tickets for contest rewards.
Purchase Rewards – Users spend points to purchase rewards.
Milestone Rewards – When a points plateau level is reached, users automatically achieve the reward.
The above combinations provide the flexibility to offer any type of incentive desired. Each subsite administrator can establish their own incentives through their administration portal. This system has proven to be very successful, especially with employers creating their own incentives in addition to publically available incentives – thus helping them personalize and target their employees. Trip Logging Calendar
RideShark’s multimodal trip logging calendar allows people to log their sustainable trips – almost like a diary of daily activity. It includes commute, business and personal trips. Each trip logged calculates detailed emissions, cost and health impacts. Administrators can use this aggregate data to for annual reports and analysis of behavior change. It’s fun, it’s easy and it keeps users engaged!
If the Incentive management module is active, each trip logged can accumulate points. It’s up to each site administrator to decide on the number of points earned by mode and the maximum points that can be earned each day.
